L’Alliance française du Bengale us happy to announce a screening of PURPLE SKIES – Voices of Indian lesbians, bisexuals & transmen. Sridhar Rangayan, filmmaker and director of the KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival will be present and will lead a question and answer session with the audience after the screening.
PURPLE SKIES:
Since its premier in May 2014, PURPLE SKIES has already traveled to over 27 international film festivals and screened at numerous conferences and community screenings across India. It was the first ever film on lesbians to receive a ‘U’ censor certificate and to be telecast on National Network Doordarshan.
It has been listed as one of the 16 must watch Indian documentaries.
