We are launching a new Translation Workshop, with Alliance française du Bengale eminent teacher and awardee of the Prix Romain Rolland de la traduction, Mr. Trinanjan Chakraborty.
This workshop is offered in three different versions:
- French to Bengali
- French to English
- English to French

A philosopher at heart, he discovered his love for the French language through the profound writings of eighteenth-century materialist philosophers. His quest for authenticity led him to embrace French in 1986, becoming a part of Alliance Française de Calcutta.
Hailing from a lineage of educators, he seamlessly transitioned into teaching French at the same institution in 1990. Beyond the classroom, he’s a prolific translator, editor, and a voice of French culture, politics, and literature, gracing renowned publications like Desh and Ananda Bazar.
