Conference with Patrick Faigenbaum, winner of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Award
The Alliance française du Bengale welcomes Patrick Faigenbaum, a renowned French photographer, in residency in Kolkata. Mr. Faigenbaum won the famous Henri Cartier-Bresson Award last year for his project “Kolkata”. We invite him to deliver a talk on his work on Thursday 16th May 2014.
Patrick Faigenbaum is a major artist in the domain of contemporary photography. His work is presented in the most important public and private collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He started in the 80’s with black and white portraits of great family of italian aristocrats. Initially portraitist, he began by looking for out of time characters, then he started photographing images of cities.
