Our French film cycle in one of the most iconic cinema hall of the city, Basushree Cinema, continues.
Every two weeks, a recent French film in its original version subtitled in English will be screened for free (on presentation of a valid Alliance française membership card or that of one of the local film societies, or an invitation to be collected from the Alliance française du Bengale or the cinema hall itself).
The second film of the cycle, sheduled for Sunday 17 July 2016, at 11 am, is a Dernière Séance or “Last Screening”, tells the story of Sylvain (Pascal Cervo), the manager of small theater which is about to go out of business. He works in the cinema as a projectionist and cashier and lives in the basement. Each night after the final screening Sylvain turns into a vicious serial killer then stalks and stabs to death prostitutes and other unlucky women.
“Last Screening” by Laurent Achard is a disturbing French horror thriller with some disturbing and detached murders.
Prepare to be scared, very scared…
