SYNOPSIS:
Nice, 1976. Agnès Le Roux, daughter of Renée, proprietor of a casino, falls in love with her mother’s advisor, Maurice Agnelet, a lawyer ten years older than herself. Maurice is married and has other mistresses. Agnès loves him madly. Maurice plots against Renée, with the help of Fratoni, owner of a rival casino, to coerce Agnès to vote against her mother at a board meeting, which allows the casino to be sold to Fratoni. Agnès accepts but resents Maurice’s betrayal. Maurice goes away. After a suicide attempt, the young woman disappears …
