The Alliance française du Bengale is happy to announce the participation of Caryl Férey, well-known French crime writer in the AKLF festival.

Come to Oxford Bookstore on Friday 16 January to attend “Whoddunit? A Crime Writer’s Conclave” in which crime writers Caryl Férey, Hakan Nesser (Sweden), Zac O’Yeah (Sweden/India) will be in conversation with Kishwar Desai.

Caryl-Ferey-photo-Gallimard-libre_800x600-300x199Caryl Férey travelled across the world at the age of twenty when he fell in love with New Zealand (HakaUtu : Série Noire Gallimard) and South Africa (Zulu, made into a Jérôme Salle movie starring Forest Whitaker and Orlando Bloom). His novel Mapuche recounts the battle of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo in Argentina. These two latter novels have won multiple prizes, and have been translated into many languages. Caryl Férey also writes film scenarios, short texts, children’s books, radio and theatre plays.
