A collaborative project between French and Indian schools of architecture,
Bonjour India aims to change the perception of heritage, showcasing how it become can a source of economic growth and employment.
Designed and curated by Aishwarya Tipnis, the Co-Creation Workshop is a collaboration between Chandernagore College, Jadavpur University, Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur, and Confluence, France.
During this intensive 7-day workshop at Chandernagore College, French and Indian students will work on a town level understanding of Chandernagore and then focus on developing sustainable solutions for the dilapidated Registry building. At the end of the workshop, the participants would display their work done in the form of an open air exhibition in an accessible public space which is open to all.
This project hopes to trigger many more similar initiatives and lead to the complete restoration of Chandernagore, making it a template to be replicated elsewhere in India.
