About the director
Ashoke Viswanathan is a Bengali Indian filmmaker and theatre personality, based in Kolkata, India.
Viswanathan is currently a Professor and Head of the Department of Producing For Film and TV specialisation at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute and lecturer at Jadavpur University.
His award winning documentary ‘The Lighthouse, The Ocean and The Sea’ explores the intellectual relationships among Rabindranath Tagore, Romain Rolland and Kalidas Nag.
