About Gaël Clavière- “The Dalí of Pastry”

Nicknamed “The Dalí of Pastry” for his iconic moustache and imaginative creations, Gaël  Clavière is a French chef whose career blends gastronomy and art in unique ways. Born in Toulouse in 1980, he trained in pastry, chocolate, confectionery, and ice cream, beginning his professional journey at just 15. Early experiences at renowned houses such as Fauchon and La Maison du Chocolat sharpened his mastery of detail, while collaborations on major events like Roland-Garros showcased his precision and creativity.

At only 26, Gaël was appointed Pastry Chef to the French Prime Minister, a role he has held with distinction for nearly two decades. Alongside this prestigious position, he has worked as a consultant for dessert creation, joined the Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat, and pursued his passion for teaching in design schools.

 In 2022, Gaël deepened his artistic exploration at the École du Louvre, leading to collaborations with contemporary artists where pastry meets sculpture, design, and street art. Guided by curiosity and generosity, he is as comfortable in the halls of power as he is in classrooms and community associations, sharing his knowledge with the same passion that defines his craft.
