World Music Day 2014 with Guillaume Blanc’s project: Electric suites
The Electric Sound project began in 2010 with suites Magyars. Sounding like machines, here is the challenge of Guillaume Blanc who catches the sound and the language of the sample base through classical instruments like violin and viola. Another aim of electric suites project is to search for a rhythmic state leading to trance. It is a link between two opposites: the past and the present, the individual and the collective, the local and the universal. Eastern European folklore, beat music, jazz, classical music, electric suites are patterned from this diversity to build its esthetics.
Guillaume Blanc began to play violin early by the age of 5. During his studies at the conservatory of music he includes the CMDL. He takes part of numerous musical and cinematographic projects. He works with artists coming of different universes; jazz, rock, soul music, slam music. He gets inspired and influenced by all these musical genres.
