On the occasion of Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival (AKLF), in association with the French Institute in India and the Alliance française du Bengale, the french writer Veronique Ovaldé will come at Oxford Bookstore (Park street, Kolkata) along with Liad Shoham and Dror A. Mishani ( Israeli), Kishwar Desai, Barun Chanda and Victor K Ghosh. They will present to us their crime fiction literary works.

Veronique Ovaldé lives and works in Paris. She is a best-selling author and also publisher of the crime writing series at Le Seuil publishing house. Ovaldé’s novels have met with public and critical acclaim, and received amongst others the Prix France Culture / Télérama, le Grand Prix des Lectrices de Elle, Le Prix Renaudot des Lycéens etc. Ovaldé, admired for her narrative skills and her blend of realism and contemporary issues with imagination and fantasy, has made a mark for herself in the French and foreign literary scenes. Her novel “La grâce des brigands” is also being published in India by Full Circle.
