Curriculum

The curriculum used in Alliance française du Bengale is based on the Common European Framework of reference for Languages (CEFR).

BASIC

Elementary Level A1: For complete beginners. Introduction to basic knowledge. Basic functional communication within a French context. 2 sessions of 8 weeks each.

Intermediate Level A2: Communication with wider range of grammatical structures and vocabulary. Emphasis on linguistic skills of a basic user. 2 sessions of 8 weeks each.

INDEPENDENT

Advanced 1 Level B1: Communicate in a more organized logical way to deal with the matters related to social issues in France. Independent usage of language. 3 sessions of 12 weeks each.

Advanced 2 Level B2: Communicate more autonomously using a wider range of expressions, vocabulary and written skills with various aspects of Francophonie cultures as well as one’s own. Higher degree of independent usage. 3 sessions of 12 weeks each.

PROFICIENT

Superior 1 Level C1: To communicate fluently with creative talent on various aspects of French culture and civilization. Appropriate and fluent expression. 3 sessions of 12 weeks.

Superior 2 Level C2: To be able to carry out with accuracy academic duties. Academic and very advanced level. 3 sessions of 12 weeks.
