Reponses

  • Under what conditions can we get our tuition fees refunded?

Only if the course is cancelled before the start of the session due to non-availabilty of enough students to open the class (minimum 5 students). In all other cases, no refund is possible.

  • How long does a language course session at the Alliance française du Bengale last?

For normal sessions of general courses: 3 months at the rate of 2 hours x 3 days per week and for week-end (Saturday & Sunday) classes: 3 hours x 2 days, that is to say, on average 70 hours of classes; for intensive language programme: 1 ½ months or 70 hours of classes.

  • Should I buy the manual Alter Ego?

Our courses respect the educational principles of the communicative approach in FLE and revolve around the manual Alter Ego. Yes, it is a must to get the manual (with audio CD) and the workbook before the commencement of the course. Thus, you can follow better the course and also continue to learn and practice at home with audio CD and workbook.

  • How long does it take to complete all DELF-DALF courses at the Alliance française du Bengale?

If you follow the general course: 39 months, i.e. 3 years and 3 months.
A1 = 6 months
A2 = 6months
B1 = 9 months
B2 = 9 months
C1= 9 months.

For intensive courses: 19 months and a half,
A1 = 3 months
A2 = 3months
B1 = 4 months and a half
B2 = 4 months and a half
C1 = 4 months and a half,

  • If I have learnt French a long time back, in which level should I enrol?

You may appear in a test offered by the language office of the Alliance française du Bengale. This test will help you assess your French language level, your difficulties and your skills and join a course that will suit your needs. This test is also available for any student of the Alliance française du Bengale who wish to reassess his/her level.
