This multidisciplinary theatrical event is centered on a correspondence between
poet and dancer. Meera Nair from Kerala will provide live readings of her letters.
The stage scenery is formed from the collective work following French visual artist
Patricia Nichols’ interaction with visual artists from Kerala. The sea is a blank page
where a narrative written by two voices emanating from two distant shores comes
to life. Imaginary cargoes pass these two ports.

The postman is incarnated by French dancer and juggler François Chat, performing
alongside Indian musicians. From one continent to the other, through waves and
tides, currents and winds, this figure carries the messages being exchanged. He is
the messenger linking these two shores, two cultures, two languages, and two ways
of seeing.

This project is an original creation of Alliance Française de Trivandrum and Les Parvis Poètiques.
