After Paris and before Québec, Trimukhi Platform launches at the ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE DU BENGALE the first of its yearly publication on contemporary arts practices. This first issue (196 pages) includes texts and digital works by 21 artists and scholars from India, France, Spain, England, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador and Canada. The purpose is concrete and simple: stimulating thought and awakening desire for the arts.
With Jean-Frédéric Chevallier (co-editor of the yearly publication), Samantak Das (professor of comparative literature, Jadavpur University), Nilanjana Gupta (professor of English literature, Jadavpur University), Chittrovanu Mazumdar (visual artist), Madhuja Mukerjee (graphic novel writer) and Gaston Roberge (specialist of Indian cinema).
Words of introduction by Damien Syed, Consul General of France in Kolkata.
The presentation will start with a short video projection on Trimukhi Platform’s work in India and conclude with a session of signature and refreshment.
