Alliance Francaise du Bengale and Varta Trust, in the run up to the May 17 International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) 2017, bring you an evening of book launches and a film screening on challenges faced by queer people around their genders and sexualities.

IDAHOBIT is organized every year worldwide to draw the attention of policymakers, opinion leaders, social movements, the public and the media to the stigma, discrimination, violence and socio-economic exclusion experienced by LGBTIQ people.

This event will focus on the issue of how online or digital spaces are helping queer people to network, mobilize resources and assert their identities and rights.
