The Alliance française du Bengale is happy to be once again a partner of the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival (AKLF)for its 6th edition in Kolkata from 14 to 18 January 2015.

 

The AKLF unveils the city’s complex layeredness, its vibrancy of thought, its engagement with the literary world at large with signature events, exploring literature at the city’s magnificent heritage sites and Oxford Bookstore. For this year, the festival will take one on a journey to discover the quaint and hidden charms of the city, continuing to celebrate the magnificent public monuments and heritage sites.

The festival that has seen increased interest and participation from global talents over the years has grown manifold to witness participation from authors and personalities from different parts of the world (France, Norway, Sweden, Australia, Pakistan, Bangladesh).

We are proud to announce that three French authors will be part of this festival : Caryl FereyFlorence Noiville and Reza Deghati. Check the events associated to them on the website to know more about their presentations.

Among other themes, the sixth edition will pay tribute to India’s first Prime Minister, national leader and one of the architects of modern India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his 125th birth anniversary and focus on his values and literary concerns that shaped the country.
